avanti011 asked: I'm sorry to hear that the customers stink-best of luck lady! Wow them with your charm and smile. :)

Thank you :)

Hey, guys.

I know I haven’t updated in forever. Interestingly enough, I transferred to a different store, and it’s one that is just awful. I have so many rude and terrible guests, and I have coworkers that don’t do anything to pull their weight. Honestly, if I wrote every unfortunate story that happened to me day to day, I’d probably have several thousand followers.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you know I’m still alive. It is likely I will start actively updating this blog again, but until then feel free to check out my personal

Anonymous asked: what are some suggestions you have for chai tea lattes?

Have it prepared with soy, add vanilla, cinnamon dolce, white mocha… it can taste delicious with many things. :)

bantheana asked: Since your applying at free standing Starbucks, I hope your applying as a Shift Supervisor. You're already a great barista. I never met you personally, but it's very obvious in your posts. If you are interested in being a shift, I totally think you should apply as one. It wouldn't surprise me if they ask you in the interviews if you want to be one since you already have barista experience. Good luck in your new store :3

Thank you for your kind words! I did apply to several free-standing Starbucks, but am also getting a direct transfer from my Target to another one in the city I’m moving to. I’m taking that job, but will continue to look into Starbucks in the area once I’m established.

I am in the process of transferring to another store in a different city.

I’d like to stay with Target because of the benefits, but am also applying to free-standing Starbucks stores. Moving is a big step, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. I’m terrified. Words cannot describe how much I am going to miss several of my regulars. I have been telling people that I plan on moving, and almost everyone is happy for me, but sad to see me go. I’ve had many guests say that they will miss the way I make their drinks.

The store that I’m planning on going to does not have nearly as much traffic as we do, and so chances are that I will not be working exclusively in Starbucks. I will likely be cross trained in other departments.

I love being a barista. This is going to be a tough transition for me.

cindyy63094 asked: She's horrible. She has a book club in our lobby every monday, while on the clock. And, everytime we've told someone about it they consider it "connecting with guests." It's stupid. She leaves me for the weekly order, to do by myself. While, she is wandering around the store or in tsc. And, I've already trained people. I just want to make sure they get the best training experience when I hold the title.

I have had a very similar experience, unfortunately. I sincerely hope that it works out for the best for you. It took months for me. In the meantime, just try and maintain a good work performance no matter what this woman is doing. In the end, it will pay off.

cindyy63094 asked: Oh, no worries :) I'm becoming ast certified in the Mid January, sometime. Did you take the class? My TL is lazy and she just wants to read to me. I feel if I take the class, it'll be more beneficial to my trainees, and I.

My advice to you… is to try and get ahead as much as possible on your own.. because if your Team Lead is anything than what mine was… then they aren’t interested in you as much as they are in themselves. You will get ahead. You and you alone. So good lucky.

cindyy63094 asked: I love how I can relate to almost every post you have. I work in a Target Starbucks as well. Are you the Starbucks Trainer?

Yes I am. :) And I apologize to you and the rest of my followers for not posting as much… under the circumstances it has been difficult.

thecolorpixie asked: I'm very sorry for your loss, deepest condolences. Also it's very true that we can't always be happy and cheery when people expect us to be. Life happens.

Thank you :)

I had a death in the family the other day.

I had to work the next morning, and understandably, I was a little upset.

I am not the type of person to call out of work no matter the circumstance, so I was there at my scheduled time. I was still friendly and polite, but nevertheless a little unlike my usual self.

This one guest in particular came to my counter and asked for a simple brewed coffee. As I was preparing it, she rudely asked me if I had woken up on the wrong side of the bed that morning.

Although I was hurt and already almost in tears by her question, I managed to look her straight in the eye and replied that I had had a death in the family, and I apologized if I had made her visit any less pleasant.

She looked at me like a deer in headlights, and proceeded to apologize profusely. I didn’t feel the least bit guilty about her reaction.

Please be nice to the people that are servicing you. You don’t know what they’re going through.
